An IVR (Interactive Voice Response) system allows you to greet callers professionally and route them to the right department or person using key press options. Emitrr makes it easy to set up and manage IVRs, helping streamline your call flow and improve customer experience.

Here’s how you can create and configure an IVR in Emitrr:


How to Create an IVR in Emitrr?

  • Go to Settings from the left-hand sidebar and select IVR under Phone settings.





  • On the right-hand side, click Create New.




  • Enter a name for your IVR and click Create.

  • Once created, click the three dots next to your new IVR and select Edit.








    Configuring Your IVR Menu:

    Within the Edit IVR Menu popup, you’ll find several customization options:

    1. IVR Voice Prompt

    You can type a message that will be converted to audio for your caller or you can select the Play Audio option to Record or Upload an IVR Voice prompt that you have.




    2. Key Press Options

    For each key (e.g., 1, 2, 3...), you can assign specific actions. The available actions include:



    • Transfer to an IVR Menu: Route callers to another IVR for multi-level navigation.

    • Transfer to a Phone Number: Forward the call to any external number.

    • Transfer to an Extension: Direct the call to a specific Emitrr user if they are active for calling. 

    • Transfer to a Queue Group: Send the call to a group of team members for faster handling.

    • Transfer to Voicemail: Allow callers to leave a message when no one is available.   

    • Send Message: Automatically send a message to the caller based on their key selection.
